C.A.R.E
(Companion Animal Rescue & Education) is an all-volunteer,
non-profit corporation formaed by concerned animal lovers.
We are a pet adoption agency, finding lifetime, loving homes
for cats & dogs.
What
we do:
- Promote
& subsidize spay/neuter for cats & dogs.
- Rescue
abandoned cats & dogs.
- Trap,
spay, neuter & release feral cats into supervised colonies.
- Provide
information and referrals for responsible pet-care.
- Participate
in local fairs, events and flea markets.
We need
volunteers to:
- Help
organize and participate in community events and fundraisers
- Assist
with mailings and answering questions on our phone line
- Reach
out to community groups
- Foster
a dog or cat in need
- Screen
potential adopters
- Transport
dogs/ cats to adoption events or to the veterinarian's
office
We have
many beautiful cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens in our foster homes
waiting to be adopted. There are too many canines and felines, including
purebreds, dying in shleters and on the streets every day.
Please
help put an end to pet overpopulation. Remember to spay (for a female)
or neuter (for a male) your cats and dogs. Call us today for a low-cost
spay or neuter certificate.
C.A.R.E.
meets at 7:30 p.m. every fourth Monday of the month at Calvary Episcopal
Church, 954 Avenue C (corner of 45th Street) in Bayonne.
